About entX | Australian Nuclear Science and Engineering

2 October 2024

Discover entX, an Australian technology company developing and commercialising advanced technologies across nuclear science, space, defence and next-generation power systems.

About entX

entX Limited is an Australian nuclear science and engineering company based in Adelaide, South Australia. We develop advanced technologies addressing challenges in medical isotope supply, space power, defence capability and resource efficiency.

Combining scientific research, engineering expertise and commercial development, entX works with industry, research institutions and government partners to progress technologies from concept and prototyping through to commercialisation.

Advancing Nuclear Science and Engineering

entX's technology portfolio spans several key areas, bringing together nuclear science, materials engineering and advanced power technologies to address emerging industry needs.

Medical Isotopes

Through its medical isotope business, IsoMedica, entX is advancing the development of technologies and infrastructure to support the production and supply of radioisotopes for nuclear medicine and targeted cancer treatment research. Its work contributes to the development of more resilient, sovereign medical isotope supply chains.

Space & Defence

entX is developing advanced power technologies for demanding environments, including Radioisotope Heating Units (RHUs) designed to provide reliable thermal energy for space applications. The company is also developing compact nuclear-enabled technologies to support future space and defence applications.

Next-Generation Power Technologies

Through GenX, entX is developing thin-film betavoltaic technology designed to convert energy from radioactive decay into electrical power. This technology has potential applications where compact, long-life power sources are required.

Resource Efficiency and Carbon Technologies

entX also develops technologies focused on resource recovery and carbon management, including PhosEnergy, which is designed to recover uranium from phosphoric acid during fertiliser production, and technologies supporting carbon capture.

From Innovation to Commercialisation

entX combines scientific expertise, engineering capability and industry collaboration to progress advanced technologies towards commercial application. By developing technologies across multiple sectors, the company aims to contribute to Australian sovereign capability and address specialised needs in healthcare, space, defence and industrial applications.
